Australian Rights Coalition |
Australian Rights Coalition was born to bring people together to hold government to account after the introduction of draconian Firearms legislation in WA, painting law abiding firearms owners as criminals! In recent years, other activities have also been targeted, including fishing, four-wheel driving, farming and forestry – the 5 F’s including Firearms. It became obvious there was a need for broader coordinated representation in WA to address government imposed restrictions and attacks on our freedoms that are gradually being imposed. There is no one organisation representing the 5 F’s and this allows the government to draft legislation that is not fit for purpose and ultimately causes widespread distress. Only we the people can change this! Other issues identified are:
A GoFundMe was launched, and the process began to build an organisation from the ground up, run by you. Based on a model created for the Western Australian Speedway Commission, the organisation will have three Chairpersons/Commissioners,
Every financial member will have one vote, no associated member/s (clubs and associations) will hold a vote, ensuring ‘we the people’ drive the organisation! The aim is to employ a coordinator to ensure a professional delivery of services. Now it’s up to you – click on the ‘Join’ button and get involved. We have an interim Steering Committee made up of Louise Kingston, former MP and architect of the idea; Steve Harrison, former Police Officer, Shooters Union WA Advocate/ Recreational Shooter and Lance French, WA Liberal Party Candidate for the 2025 State Election, former Police Officer and Gunsmith. |
